I. PROJECT: RETAINER FOR THE MAINTENANCE OF THE PHILIPPINE WEBSITE IN USA – WWW.PHILIPPINETOURISMUSA.COM

II. BACKGROUND:

The PDOT Offices in the US has a US-wide website (www.philippinetourismusa.com), which is an integral marketing tool providing timely and valuable information about the Philippines for the American market, boost search engine ranking, and drive more traffic to the site by providing relevant and up-to-date information to potential tourists. It will also be a platform for the Philippines’ marketing and promotions in the United States. Due to the lack of workforce and technical capability of the PDOT Offices in the US, there is a need to hire a web developer or maintenance provider to update the customized website of PDOT in the US regularly.  

III. PURPOSE / OBJECTIVES

The Department of Tourism San Francisco (PDOT San Francisco) needs a US-based company that engages in the business of providing custom website design, development, and maintenance. PDOT San Francisco aims to attain the following objectives:

  1. To host, maintain, and design web pages on the Philippine website in the US.
  2. To increase product and destination knowledge that would encourage tourist traffic from the US to the Philippines; and
  3. To generate publicity for the Philippines as a holiday and business destination.

IV. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR A SUPPLIER

  1. Must be a US-based company duly registered in the US;
  • Must have extensive experience in developing, creating, and maintaining tourism website of National or Local Tourism Organization especially NTO’s tourism branding website;
  • Must have a minimum of five (5) year experience in web design, development, and web hosting, maintenance, and management;
  • Must specialize in creating a new user experience through a responsive design accessible to desktop, tablets, and smartphone devices.
  • Preferably with experience in handling the North American market.

VI.        OWNERSHIP

 PDOT San Francisco will own the content and source codes of the website. The web developer or supplier must turn over all source codes and applications to DOT-San Francisco upon project completion.

VI. BUDGET

            The total estimated budget is US$2,400.00 for four months or US$600.00 per month.

Note:

However, the winning RFQ shall be based on the proposal with the most advantageous financial package cost, provided that the amount of bid does not exceed the above total budget.

VIII.      PAYMENT PROCEDURE

 Processing of payment shall be initiated upon certification by the end-user of satisfactory completion of services and the supplier’s issuance of billing statements. Should the end-user get sponsorships, the billing statement should reflect only the actual expenses incurred.
