  1. PROJECT: DEVELOPMENT OF THE PHILIPPINE SPECIALIST PROGRAM

Description:

The Philippine Specialist Program will heighten product awareness among the travel trade about  Philippine Tourism products and destinations. The training will be designed to help US-based travel agents and tour  operators to learn and retain information in fun and interactive ways. The course will be an opportunity to instill travel  confidence in the Philippines as markets and destinations rebound from an expected end to the COVID crisis. Course  content will incorporate information on measures undertaken in response to the crisis as well as rehabilitation efforts  undertaken in the different tourism destinations.

DOT will provide the information materials, photos, and videos. These resources will serve as reference materials  for agents and for further education, insight, and understanding. The course will also allow one click access to all of Philippines  Tourism’s collaterals, links & more. The E-learning’ Course will involve Hosting, Learner Support, Content, Exams, Diploma,  Graduate Evaluation, and Monthly Student Database. Aside from the tourist destinations, the course will also provide information on resorts and hotels in the Philippines and  will update them of the new establishments and tourism attractions.

Objectives:

  • To incorporate the Philippine Specialist Program in the PDOT US Website: www.philippinetourismusa.com
  • To develop qualified sales forces for the Philippines
  • To strengthen partnership with the travel trade by helping them through this crisis
  • To regain the trust and confidence of the market through the agents
  • To project the Philippines’ positive image as a fun and safe destination post COVID crisis
  • To increase visitor arrivals to the Philippines from North America
