#WeHealAsOne
The Philippine Department of Tourism (PDOT) is ensuring that tourism stakeholders implement the safety protocols and series of precautionary measures set by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Department of Health (DOH). PDOT is also promoting habits that the public can adapt to contain the spread of the COVID-19.
Currently, there are temporary travel bans in place and other measures to reduce the risk of imported cases and community transmission, such as:
Enhanced Community Quarantine or ECQ
ECQ, commonly known as Shelter In Place, is still in placed in the Northern part of the Philippines (e.g., Metro Manila, Benguet, Pangasinan, Batangas, etc) plus other major cities in the country up to May 15, 2020.
Temporary Travel Bans
There is a temporary travel ban on foreigners entering the country. Only OFWs, repatriating Filipinos, their foreign spouses and children (provided that the foreign spouse and children are traveling with the Filipino national), and foreign government or international organization officials accredited by the Philippines are allowed to enter the country.
