CALABARZON

Welcome to the land of freedom fighters! CALABARZON (Region IV-A) is home to some of the first Filipinos who fought for freedom against the Spaniards. This is where 2 of our Philippine Revolution heroes were born. Our national hero, Dr. Jose P. Rizal was born in Calamba, Laguna, while Apolinario Mabini was born in Tanauan City, Batangas.
CALABARZON stands for its 5 provinces: Cavite (Ca), Laguna (La), Batangas (Ba), Rizal (R), and Quezon (Zon). It has a land area of 16,560 square kilometers, fitting 18 cities, 124 municipalities, and 3,985 barangays. One notable thing about CALABARZON (apart from its quirky name) is that it is an industrial hub with many business and economic opportunities.
This region isn’t all business. Historical sites and natural wonders are abundant in CALABARZON. There are numerous shrines, churches and landmarks dating back to the time of the Philippine Revolution. You can also see beautiful lakes and volcanoes with resorts around them where you can kick back, relax, and enjoy the view.
